AirControl has been sponsoring Vilariño Motorsport, a renowned team from Gipuzkoa, since the beginning of 2008. This team has an impressive list of achievements, including a number of victories in European and Spanish automobile championships.

Great drivers form part of the team, such as Andrés Vilariño (4 times European Champion and 4 times Spanish Hill Climb Champion and the winner of the FIA Trophy in 2007, among others), his son, Ander Vilariño (2 times European Hill Climb Champion, 2 times Spanish Champion in Formula category cars and holder of an Olympic medal awarded by the Spanish Olympic Committee in 2006, among others) and his daughter, Ángela Vilariño (women's European Hill Climb Champion in 2007 and 4 times Karting Champion of the Basque Country, among other achievements).

Behind every great driver there is always a great team. Thanks to people like Iñaki Olano (team manager), Irune Zubiaurre (sports manager), Eneko Duque, Iñaki Altuna (mechanics) and Gael (assistant), the drivers have achieved these excellent results.

Over recent years, the Vilariño family members have been competing in the FIA European Hill Climb Championship, winning all possible events. Consequently, in 2008, the family decided to change Hill Climb for track competitions, with a view to winning further championships.

Olaberria Track

Vilariño Motorsport has its own track since 1997. The Olaberria Track (Gipuzkoa), 1,100 metres long and built on a 55,000 m2 estate, stages all types of events, such as championships, karting courses, presentations, tests as well as advanced and sport driving courses.

Our commercial experts have also taken part in Vilariño Motorsport driving courses. Their safety is a major concern and as they spend much of their time on the road, they need to be trained and prepared to deal with risk situations.
